About

I’m a full time student in a master’s program in a small liberal arts college in Arizona.  It’s a student-designed, self-directed program that is suitable for those of us who may abhor sitting in a classroom again after almost 40 years in the workforce.  I am reinventing myself and I’ll use this blog to clarify things for me.  My intention for going back to school is to come out of it with a solid business plan with a focus on e-learning.  It’s a means to an end.  So far, so good.

My background is in vocational education, as a teacher and an administrator, with a previous stint in financial sales.  In addtion to going to school–which for me means sitting at my computer, or sitting in a comfy chair reading a journal article, or sitting outside by the chickens reading the same journal article or taking a break and playing with the cats, I volunteer for an organization called ACCAHC (Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care) and periodically for the Samaritans.

I live with my partner, 2 cats, 7 fish and 9 chickens in Tucson, AZ.
